Friday February 13: ** Sunday's Ski For The Pass Nordic race has been cancelled due to inadequate snow.** Yesterdays new snow was helpful from a moisture perspective but did little to help our base depth due to warm temps. We were able to pack the High School Loop 30. This still leaves most trails closed due to excessive melt out from the recent heat wave with the only skiing available on Loop 30 and portions of Owl Creek Trail from W Buttermilk Rd to Cluny Road. The Nordic Bonfire event is still happening this Saturday Night, more info available at teamavsc.org. Use caution as trails continue to melt and expect thin and variable conditions with exposed bare spots on all open trails. Check Nordic Pulse for grooming updates and trail closures. The Nordic Center at the Aspen Golf Course is open daily from 9-5. Have a great day skiing!
